More Classic Footage – 1990′s Techno Rave Culture Documentary

More throwback footage of the early 90′s rave scene that went on to change everything. Pretty educational video about how the scene grew and mutated to create so many of the sounds we all love and cherish. Settle down for this one…

Little cameo from myself in part 2 (in the playlist), around 9 minutes in.

Enjoy

BBC2 Documentary from 97 – Reprazents

Some throwback business here. Check out this documentary on BBC2 back in 1997, from when we hit America back in the day with the full crew. Good times!

Bristol and Stokes Croft used to look a bit different back then too…

Thanks for checking.

Update – Exit, Sherwood, Balaton Sound and NASS

Before we head off for more shows in the Czech Republic (Colours of Ostrava), Germany (Melt!), Dour (Belgium) and back to the UK for Latitude, I thought it was time to give you another update of what we have been up to.

Sherwood Festival, Italy
Last weekend was a lot and it was great to see so many people come out to support us. First up was a DJ set in Padova, Italy for Sherwood Festival. Great people and definitely worth checking out if you get the chance. It’s a small festival compared to the other gigs on the mini tour, but definitely a strong vibe and the Italians know how to party.

Sherwood

Exit Festival, Serbia
Next up was Exit Festival. Last time we were there was 2008 so it was nice to go back with the team to play the main stage to 10,000 people. Definitely one to remember for me and the Reprazents team and respect to everyone that came to see us. Also had a great time seeing Emile Sande, Elizabeth Troy and Clean Bandit. We also need to say congratulations to Exit Festival as its 15 years in the game for them, no easy task.

Big up Emile Sande

Balaton Sound, Hungary
With little sleep we headed over to Hungary for Balaton Sound. The setting for this festival is great as it’s set on a lake just outside of Budapest. Sun, beautiful people and good vibes. Big up Balaton Sound!

Podoha, Slovakia
With even less sleep we headed over to Slovakia for Pohoda Festival. The line up for the festival was great with people like Bjork, Manu Chao and Die Antwoord, and we are always happy to be booked alongside people like that. Thanks for having us Slovakia.

NASS, UK
Last stop on the tour was NASS Festival just outside my hometown of Bristol. We went from beautiful, European sun to… (Predictably) English summer rain, but we’re all used to that by now. Still loved the show and got to hang out with Chuck D and the rest of the Public Enemy crew who absolutely smashed it as usual with their energy. Also shouts to Just Blaze for the link up.

2015 Tour Update – Japan, Australia, New Zealand

Apologies for the lack of updates on my website, the last few months have been pretty busy in the world of Roni Size and Reprazents, so this is a little update to let you know what we have all been up to and what you can expect more of this summer.

Without going into too much detail, we’ve been busy in the studio (not as easy as it sounds) working on new Reprazents material for our upcoming album. Not too much info to give atm (as it’s top secret), but things are coming together nicely and we are all excited to get this out there. More info to come on this when we know exactly what the schedule is, but stay tuned for updates.

We’ve been hitting the road pretty hard these last few months as both Reprazents and solo doing DJ Sets and we’ve played some great parties and festivals around the world. We are going to be running this diary on a regular basis, so please tag us on Twitter and Instagram with any photos from our shows and we’ll use the best we can find in these updates. Looking forward to seeing what you got!

Here’s a little more info about our time on the road.
